About Our Team
Superswell® VR is a virtual reality production company specializing in immersive storytelling and experiences for the travel and outdoor industries. Superswell® VR was founded by Wasim Muklashy and Skye Mayring.
Wasim Muklashy is a seasoned multi-media veteran. He began his career writing for various Primedia and Conde Naste publications before founding a national newsstand print magazine. He then spent the better part of a decade producing and editing marketing and commercial videos and corporate media packages for Fortune 500 companies including Gap, Mattel, and Warner Brothers. Most recently, Wasim has been a Samsung sponsored professional photographer who has done work for such clients as Airbnb, The World Forestry Center, Subaru & The National Park Service.
Skye Mayring, known in the blogosphere as Joan Jetsetter, is an award-winning travel journalist and producer on a mission to travel to 100 countries by 2025.
Skye got her start in travel as an editor for TravelAge West and a contributor to Robb Report, Travel Weekly and tnooz. As a producer and digital influencer, she has created online videos and social media campaigns for Google, BuzzFeed, GoPro, Verizon, TripIt, Tastemade, Culture Trip and Samsung. She is currently developing a video series for YouTube's first-ever VR Creator Lab.
Over the years, Skye has won numerous awards—including the Silver Lowell Thomas Award for Travel Journalist of the Year—for her coverage of millennial culture, travel tech, festival travel and adventure.

For higher end projects, such as our recent #TahitiVR project for Tahiti Tourisme, Superswell® VR uses systems such as Samsung’s innovative Project Beyond virtual reality camera solution and Insta360's industry standard Pro and Titan series 360 cameras.
For our influencer series and prosumer level projects, Superswell® VR uses a combination of the higher end solutions as described above, and more mobile solutions such as the Samsung Gear 360, GoPro Fusion and Rylo 360 action cameras.
